Welcome to the prati Psilocybin PRacticum
PRATI is pleased to be partnering with Treehouse Sanctuary in offering a comprehensive practicum program designed to deepen facilitation skills and support facilitators-in-training in developing a grounded, professional understanding of Natural Medicine Services within Colorado’s regulatory framework.
A practicum is the supervised practice experience required by DORA in which facilitators-in-training observe and participate in the provision of Natural Medicine Services under the supervision of a licensed Facilitator. This practicum serves as a structured, experiential learning opportunity for participants who have completed foundational training and are preparing for licensure.
The practicum includes:
- Supervised practicum hours completed in the provision of Natural Medicine Services
- Participation in preparation, administration, and integration sessions
- Observation and supervised participation alongside a licensed Facilitato
- Direct supervision by a licensed Facilitator, who retains responsibility for the provision of services
- Practice conducted in accordance with 4 CCR 755-1, Article 170 of Title 12, C.R.S., and applicable standards of practice
- Completion of documentation requirements as required for licensure
Important note: To support a high-quality and well-resourced practicum experience, each practicum offering requires a minimum enrollment of eight (8) participants. If this minimum is not reached, PRATI will work closely with registered participants to explore alternative dates or placement options. Any schedule changes will be communicated at least three (3) weeks prior to the scheduled start date. We recommend booking refundable or transferable travel and accommodation arrangements to allow for this possibility.
This four-day, in-person practicum runs from Thursday at 8:00 a.m. through Sunday at 3:00 p.m. MT. Additionally, all participants will be required to complete a 2-hour virtual group preparation session and 2-hour integration session. The specific dates and times for these required virtual sessions are provided on the registration page for each practicum offering.
The practicum offers hands-on experience in preparation and integration, as well as an experiential component that allows participants to develop firsthand understanding of the facilitation process within the bounds permitted by rule. This experience is designed to support competency, ethical practice, and professional readiness within Colorado’s regulated natural medicine model.
The experiential environment is held in a culturally attuned and trauma-informed manner, supporting facilitators-in-training across a range of professional backgrounds and experience levels. Through supervised practice and guided reflection, participants strengthen their capacity to provide safe, supportive, and responsible facilitation services for diverse populations.
We are pleased to continue expanding our work and collaborations with organizations offering supervised practicums that meet the Colorado NMHA requirements.
