Charlotte Charfen, Board Certified Emergency Medicine Specialist, MD
Dr. Charlotte Charfen is an American boarded emergency medicine physician, writer, teacher and optimist. Her work continues in emergency medicine and her private practice in rural North Hawaii and abroad via telemedicine. Her interests are many but dedication to helping patients and their caregivers with all end-of-life options and serious illness support is her primary focus.
Dr. Charfen enjoys developing community programs through the nonprofit she founded, consulting with clients, and inspiring others through her teaching and writing to live and die well. She believes in a holistic approach to support no matter what stage of life one finds themselves and that the client has the wisdom to discern what wellness means for them.
Providing ketamine in a safe and nurturing environment with collaborative support with mental health providers is an offering that does not exist in her community that Dr. Charfen is excited to develop and provide.
