Nancy Goodman, LCSW
I work primarily with healing trauma of all kinds–chronic childhood trauma, developmental trauma, attachment trauma, relationship trauma, and big T traumas to name a few. I believe that trauma is often at the root of unhealthy relationship dynamics and a lack of self-care and that healing trauma allows us to reconnect with our values, our sense of self, and our ability to show up in relationships with care for ourselves and others. I use EMDR, somatic therapy and ketamine-assisted therapy as my strongest tools for processing painful memories and negative beliefs.
When we begin to heal trauma, it seems we naturally realign with the sacredness of life, including ourselves, our relationships, the natural world and whatever spirit means to us as individuals. I have watched clients automatically begin to orient toward self-care, compassion, unconditional love, connecting more to nature and finding peace in a bigger-picture perspective that we could call spiritual, while that can look vastly different from person to person. It is an honor to watch people regain a sense of harmony with themselves, their people and their world.
