Group KAP Training Program

PRATI believes experiential learning with ketamine is the best way to learn the practical and fundamental skills needed for psychedelic medicine. If you have completed a foundational experiential KAP training and are ready to expand upon this knowledge, please join our experienced family of group ketamine providers and educators to learn how to successfully run KAP groups at our Group Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy Training.

This five-day course will build upon your knowledge in KAP with new clinical skills specific to group work, which will empower you to deepen your practice in this emerging field. You will be implementing skills within small cohort-style groups of six people throughout the training to gain competence and professional growth preparing you for psychedelic group work. This program is limited to 24 participants to support an intimate container for learning and relationship building. We are confident you will find this unique training a valuable addition to your existing skills and knowledge in ketamine- and psychedelic-assisted therapies.

What You Will Learn

PRATI’s Group KAP training combines didactic presentations with experiential components in a retreat-style setting. You will develop skills through participation in the three roles of facilitating, journeying, and observing in small KAP groups with other participants. Over the five days, we will co-create a container for deep personal and professional growth supported by PRATI’s expert faculty and catalyzed by your own exploration of psychedelic group work.

In addition to preparing you for the clinical application of group ketamine-assisted psychotherapy, participants will gain clinical skills and hands-on knowledge including:

  • Clinical skills for co-facilitation
  • Competence in ketamine dosing and routes of administration in groups
  • Group-specific integration and ceremony practices through immersive activities
  • Practice in facilitating, observing and journeying in small groups (6 sessions)
  • The “nuts and bolts” of planning a group KAP session
  • 3 optional ketamine experiences (dependent on medical clearance) within the small group
  • Considerations of ethics and diversity in group psychedelic medicine
  • Safety and other considerations specific to psychedelic group work
  • Sound, somatic, and ecological integration experiences
  • Community building and networking opportunities

Endorsements

The PRATI training has been one of the more powerful therapy trainings I have ever done. The team of doctors, nurses and therapists etc are truly world class and embody the heart-centered, evidence-based approach that we need to transform mental health care.

Tyler Stableford

This training was a life enhancer, both professionally and personally. I learned how to co-facilitate group KAP and so many ways to do integration in a group setting. Additionally, I experienced being truly connected to and held by my small group, as well as the larger group. The compassion and grace from the faculty was very nurturing. I highly recommend this Level 2 training.

Alexandra Taylor, LPC

The experienced facilitators and thoroughness ensure participants leave with a sense of what needs to happen in creating and running groups, plus a sense of the vast range of possibilities, personalization and flexibility which can go into preparation, journeying and integration. Attention is paid to the ethics, medical safety/procedures and social dynamics inherent to group KAP, and there is a focus on the exponential healing potential through connectedness which groups in this space offer. It’s a logical next step from the Foundation training, but my sense is it’s as important to have.
