An Evolution of PRATI’s Foundational KAP Training

Since 2019, PRATI has offered immersive experiential training in ketamine-assisted psychotherapy (KAP) through our 4-day residential Foundational KAP Training program. With over 600 alumni from around the world, our program has become a trusted gateway for professionals entering the field of psychedelic therapy. From the beginning, we’ve seen ketamine not only as a powerful medicine in its own right, but as an ideal entry point for learning the foundations of psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy.

At the heart of this training is a perspective that goes beyond protocols or technique—one that recognizes the healing power of expanded states of consciousness and honors the sacred dimension of psychedelic work. This holistic orientation, grounded in both clinical skill and spiritual depth, is what continues to set our program apart.

As the field of psychedelic therapy continues to grow, we’re seeing expanded access to medicines like psilocybin, and with that comes a need for broader training. In response, we’re evolving our flagship offering and reintroducing it as:

Foundations in Psychedelic Medicine

This updated name reflects a shift in how we talk about the training—not a change in what we offer, but a deeper articulation of what’s already been true: our program lays the groundwork for effective, ethical, and embodied psychedelic practice, no matter which medicine you work with.

Ketamine will remain the focus of the experiential portion of the training. You’ll still gain the knowledge, tools, and experience needed to begin or deepen your practice as a KAP provider. But we’re now more clearly highlighting how the principles you learn here—relational presence, somatic awareness, ceremony and ritual, safety and ethics—translate across the spectrum of psychedelic-assisted therapies.

Whether you’re just stepping into this work or have experience with other medicines, this training offers a comprehensive foundation rooted in evidence-based practices, hands-on learning, and a holistic view of healing that includes mind, body, and spirit.

As we enter our sixth year of training practitioners, what continues to set PRATI apart is our intentional retreat-style model, held in a beautiful natural setting and grounded in a strong sense of community. Our programs are infused with care, connection, and the kind of spaciousness that allows deep learning and personal transformation to unfold.

But more than a training, this experience is a kind of homecoming. It’s a place where deep learning meets deep being—where the intellectual, emotional, and spiritual aspects of psychedelic medicine are woven together in an atmosphere of warmth, curiosity, and care. We invite you into a space shaped by community, laughter, honest dialogue, ceremony, nature, and the kind of authenticity that welcomes your whole self. In a field that can sometimes feel heady or rushed, we slow down. We gather around a shared hearth. And we practice in a way that brings joy, play, and meaning back into the heart of healing work.

Our purpose at PRATI is to restore connection to the sacred—self, community, nature, and spirit. Through psychedelic medicine, we nurture a new approach to mental health and illuminate a pathway for individual and planetary healing. If you feel called to this path, we would be honored to welcome you into our growing community.

If you’re looking for a meaningful and embodied path into psychedelic medicine—guided by experienced facilitators, in a nourishing container—we hope you’ll join us for an upcoming training.
