Huntsman Mental Health Institute Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy Clinic
Practitioner Information
Description of Services

The Huntsman Mental Health Institute Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy Clinic is in Park City, Utah and offers ketamine-assisted psychotherapy (IM or sublingual) with robust individual psychotherapy. We pair each client with an individual therapist who they work with through a course of treatment and provide additional therapeutic support with an online platform. All clients receive a full medical and psychiatric evaluation by a psychiatrist who is on site for all treatment sessions. The ketamine administration component is cash pay however all psychotherapy components of the service are billed to insurance. Our clinic is also a hub for academic research in psychedelic-assisted therapy and we are engaged with multiple clinical trials with psilocybin and ketamine at this time. We also provide regular educational sessions for the community and train resident physicians in psychedelic medicine. We strive to carry the heart of this transformational work in a rigorous and academically-informed way.

Briefly describe how your clinical work or business practice (e.g., policies, practices, or educational offerings) aligns with PRATI's Purpose statement: "Reconnecting to the Sacred: Self, Community, Nature, and Spirit".

I have worked in academic psychiatry for a number of years at this point. The limitations of what most treatments can offer has weighed on me with increasing acuity. There is a lot of work for us to do and many levels for us to do this on, both individually and collectively. This work is largely about reconnecting: reconnecting with ourselves, our communities, our sense of purpose, our commitment to the wellbeing of others, and our commitments to the natural world. The work we are doing in this clinic is a way for me to reconnect along all of these lines as well as reconnect with the reasons I went into medicine in the first place.
