Bethany Mealy, LPC, LCPC, M.A.

I am a therapist licensed in both Missouri and Kansas working in private practice in Kansas City. I provide individual therapy utilizing KAP (ketamine assisted psychotherapy), Brainspotting, EMDR, CBT, neuroscience, trauma informed care, motivational interviewing, and mindfulness practices. My background is in working with adults with significant trauma, SPMI, and substance misuse/recovery. I have worked in outpatient and primary care settings. In therapy, I hope to create a safe and validating place in which we can be curious, process hurts and pains of life, and develop ways to feel most alive. I see my role as a facilitator; I believe that as humans we sometimes need assistance with accessing what we need-which is usually within us- and I am honored to assist people in that process. When I am not in the office you can find me going to jiu jitsu, lifting weights, laughing with family and friends, and spending time with my fur-babies
In my clinical work I affirm those that are coming to therapy that are wanting to reconnect with themselves, nature, and/or spirituality. I have honored to facilitate a place in which we can explore this. I believe that ketamine is a wonderful medication to facilitate this exploration as well. As a professional I also believe that my practices with spirituality, nature, and connectedness to myself also reflect in my professional work; as an individual, but also a professional I am intentional about developing these connections within myself.
