Lao Tzu in the Tao Te Ching says “A journey…begins with a single step.” You may feel like you have traveled a thousand miles. There may be obstacles scattering your life. You may trust that you can optimize functioning and find deeper purpose, but hope to find a map and guide. Whatever your reason for reading these words, change begins with that first step. We look forward to facilitating healing on your unique path.
Pathways to Wellness include:
Ketamine Assisted Therapy
Research supports ketamine as safe, highly effective, and often a breakthrough, medicine to improve various symptoms and conditions.
A safe, non-invasive, often life-changing way to train your brain– In-office with a neurotherapist, or at home with a personally designed protocol.
A brain map can greatly reduce therapy sessions you might otherwise need. A treasure trove of signs to guide and expedite your healing.
Sound whether music or noise, abrasive or soothing, natural or artistic creation, impacts us in obvious and subtle ways. Sound can heal.
Integration of your healing work, facilitated by trained professionals, provides opportunity for the powerful to become profound.
Brent Jaster MD, graduated from Dartmouth Medical School, and enjoys helping others, particularly men, achieve emotional, mental, and physical health. Personal growth/spiritual health, however defined, are foundational to his approach to holistic health.
Dr. Jaster believes passionately in the power of psychedelic / entheogenic medicine (to induce a non-ordinary state of consciousness), neurofeedback, sound as therapy, and that which helps resolve past trauma/unhealthy patterns through enhanced neuroplasticity (changeable brains). We all have some trauma, and getting to the root of a problem brings true resolution.
Brent uses lifestyle medicine, integrative holistic medicine, an open-mind, and creativity to help people help themselves. He is a facilitator of health on your individual path. Focus areas include mental and emotional wellness, sleep, and helping people understand the link between mental wellness and physical symptoms.
In addition, Dr. Jaster utilizes and understands the power of of groups to deepen self-understanding and enhance health and healing.
Brent’s appreciation for diversity, inclusion, culture and equity emerged in 9th grade (SF Bay Area), meeting profound strangers (of color) during his travels and hanging out with his dad’s pro baseball teams for many months of his life. Immense personal growth comes from his children and interpersonal relationships. Influential moments in life include: a semester abroad in Melbourne, Australia; a 200-hour yoga teacher training; 6 weeks of volunteering on Patch Adams’s land in WV; and trainings in Entheogenic (Psychedelic) Medicine.

At Heartmind Medicine we believe the individual (Self) has an innate ability to heal, i.e. Reconnect with their unique heart, purpose, and meaning. We facilitate this process and see ourselves more as guides than healers. We offer tools and powerful healing opportunities through group interations. This community of peers holds each individual accountable in a way that breaks through potential authoritative dynamics that may sabotage health and healing, in many medical settings.
We offer a pleasant view of nature, both literally, and figuratively. Through this inclusive, respectful, co-creative window to what the individual holds sacred, we invite Spirit to visit during the client’s journey, no matter what their views of religion, spirituality, or the universal experience of the unknown.
