I have been working in emergency medical services for 9 years. My experiences in this field coupled with my spiritual background of Buddhist practice have prompted me to seek a deeper path of healing. I have been made acutely aware of an individual and societal wound that cannot be healed by the approach of western medicine alone. I see psychedelic medicine as a potential bridge between the esoteric wisdom traditions of the east and the method of scientific inquiry which dominates the western psyche. Currently I am in a contemplative space in regards to the future of my career. I would like to find a way to unite my fringe experiences within EMS, holding space for death and chaos, with the therapeutic modality of psychedelic medicine. Currently I am in a paramedic to RN bridge program seeking to one day work exclusively in this emerging field, the specifics of which are unclear. For any prescribers/ketamine clinics seeking to hire paramedics/EMTs for IM/IV therapy administration of have plenty of field experience working with ketamine for analgesia in dynamic environments.
