Lara Dye, Ph.D.

I am a psychologist in Austin, Texas. I have extensive training in treating addiction and childhood trauma (through the Meadows in Arizona) and I am a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist (CSAT) certified through the International Institute of Trauma and Addiction Professionals (IITAP). I have over 22 years of experience treating depression, anxiety, PTSD, and addiction. Currently, I have a private practice in Austin, TX where I work with clients individually, in couples’ therapy and run groups focusing on addiction and childhood trauma.
As I ‘mature’ as a therapist, it seems to me that “integration” is the goal of my life, my practice, humans who are psychologically healing, as well as what I hope for the planet. I believe that humans suffer when they stray too far from what matters, which seems to me to be connection to other humans, and connection to our natural home – earth. I believe plant medicine is (usually) less toxic, (than pharma-derived medicines) and should be first in line for prevention and treatment of physical and psychological disorders over ‘Pharma” and it’s products. I can add more later if relevant..
