What sets PRATI's training apart from other programs?

PRATI stands out as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with a mission-driven approach to psychedelic medicine and KAP training. Since 2019, we’ve been offering KAP trainings guided by an experienced and passionate team of staff and educators dedicated to advancing this important work. Our immersive, retreat-style format provides a uniquely transformative experience, combining personal growth with a comprehensive foundation in ketamine and psychedelic medicine. A key element of our training is the ketamine experientials, which offer participants invaluable hands-on experience in a supportive and safe environment.

Will I be certified to practice KAP or psychedelic medicine after the training?

The field of psychedelic medicine is rapidly evolving, and ketamine is currently the only legal psychedelic that can be used in clinical practice across all U.S. states. At this time, there is no standardized national certification process required to practice ketamine-assisted psychotherapy. Some states, like Colorado and Oregon, are developing regulated models for legal access to other psychedelics, such as psilocybin. While PRATI’s training may contribute to the knowledge and skills required for psychedelic therapy, it does not fulfill all the requirements to become a licensed facilitator in these states. However, it may meet certain prerequisite components of the licensing process. Prospective facilitators should check with their specific state’s regulatory bodies for the most up-to-date licensing requirements, as these programs are still in development and subject to change.

Do you offer Continuing education credits?

Currently, PRATI is not accredited to offer CEUs for our training programs. However, upon request, we can provide participants with a statement and summary of training hours (approximately 20) upon successful completion of the program.

What can I expect during the ketamine experientials?

Our training includes two supported ketamine experiences on the second and third days of the program. Participation in these components is optional but highly encouraged to gain firsthand experience with ketamine. Participants will work in dyads and have the opportunity to receive ketamine through both intramuscular and sublingual routes of administration. Please note that participation is contingent on prior medical evaluation by PRATI’s contracted medical provider. Fasting for at least 4 hours prior to receiving ketamine is also required.

What opportunities are there for collaboration after the training ends?

PRATI is dedicated to fostering communities of practice among our alumni. After completing one of our training programs, alumni are invited to join an email listserv for connection and collaboration opportunities with past KAP trainees. Additionally, you will have the option to create a free profile in our directory of KAP providers.

How much are accommodations?

Current accommodation prices are linked here. There are various options available, including camping, dorm-style arrangements, and private rooms in shared apartments. Accommodation fees include dinner at 6:00 p.m. for those checking in the day before the program begins, three meals for each full day of your stay, breakfast and lunch on the day of check-out, and daily tea and coffee service in the dining area.

Can I stay off-site?

To ensure safety and foster group cohesion, we require all participants to stay onsite at Sunrise Ranch in Loveland, Colorado, for the duration of the training.

Can I choose who I room with at Sunrise Ranch?

Yes! If you’d like to share a room with a specific training participant, you can make this request during the online accommodation registration process with Sunrise Ranch.

Can family and friends stay with me at Sunrise Ranch?

To maintain focus and create a cohesive training environment, we ask that participants attend the training independently. As such, family and friends are not permitted to stay at Sunrise Ranch during the training program.

Will there be opportunities to hike or explore nature?

Absolutely! Sunrise Ranch offers numerous hiking trails on its beautiful property. Throughout the training program, there will be scheduled blocks of free time for you to explore and connect with nature, if you choose.

I have dietary restrictions. Will there be food I can eat?

Sunrise Ranch provides a variety of meals that accommodate most dietary restrictions, including dairy-free, gluten-free, paleo, vegetarian, and vegan options. You will also have the opportunity to specify any additional dietary needs when registering for accommodations online with Sunrise Ranch.

How can I get to Sunrise Ranch from the Denver airport?

For details on recommended transportation options between Denver International Airport and Sunrise Ranch, please refer to the information provided in the document linked here.

What time does the training start and end?

The program begins at 8:30 a.m. on the first training day and ends at 3:00 p.m. on the final day of training.

My flight leaves before the end of the training on the last day. Will this be a problem?

Occasionally, participants have travel arrangements that require them to leave Sunrise Ranch before the formal closing at 3:00 p.m. on the final day of training. To ensure you receive your completion certificate, please plan to stay at least until 12:00 p.m. on the closing day to meet the training requirements.
